3-year-old dies in Badin house fire

BADIN — A 3-year-old boy died in a Wednesday morning house fire in Badin, according to the Stanly News and Press.
Firefighters responded to the 9:30 a.m. blaze at 307 Washington St. in the west Badin community and found the small frame house engulfed in flames, according to Badin Police Chief Bryan Lambert.
Names were not released, pending further investigation. The victim and his parents were taken to Stanly Regional Medical Center.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
