One person has reportedly died after a car crash in the 9000 block of West N.C. Hwy. 152 on Sunday.

Initial reports from a police scanner said the accident involved a double pin-in and a gas leak.

According to WBTV, an Atwell Volunteer Fire Department spokesperson said two people were airlifted from the scene.

Both directions of Hwy. 152 were blocked off to keep drivers away from the scene of the accident.
