CHINA GROVE – Ethel Ritchie Sifford, 95, formerly of China Grove, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield Nursing Home in High Point. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Born in Rowan County on Oct. 16, 1911, to Robert and Laura Cress Sifford, Mrs. Sifford made her home in China Grove, where she was educated at Farm Life School. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mrs. Sifford was a member of Organ Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was a long-time member of Eastern Star and White Shrine. Mrs Sifford worked at Cannon Mills for 30 years. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sifford was preceded in death by her husband, Chester James Sifford, in 1997. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Survivors include daughter Mrs. W.D. ( Joan ) Lee Jr. of High Point; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Visitation and Service: Visitation for Mrs. Sifford will be on Tuesday from 1:15-2 p.m. at Organ Lutheran Church with funeral services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Terrance Long and the Rev. Gamlin, minister, will officiate. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Memorials: Memorials can be made to Organ Lutheran Church, 1515 Organ Church Road, Salisbury NC 28146; or Pennybyrn at Maryfield, 1315 Greensboro Road, High Point, NC 27260. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove is serving the Sifford family.
