Letter: Hunters, don't toss those deer remains

It is deer season. Bravo! May all good hunters fulfill their limit to cull the herd.
Having met one of the destructive beasts on N.C. 601, I wish you a good hunt. However, some of your fellow hunters need a lesson in good sportsmanship. Their idea of disposing of the butchered carcasses along country roads on private property is not a brilliant idea. No wonder there are so many no-hunting signs on farm property.
But worse than that, the knuckleheads who have thrown remains in Sills Creek on Upright Road are just plain sick. That creek, like most waterways, eventually leads to the water supply of some population center.
Salisbury, does your water taste strange lately? Certainly there are ways to dispose of the remains in a safe manner.
