SALISBURY – Esther Vivian Swarthout Goodell, 66, of Salisbury, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at her residence. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Born Aug. 31, 1940, in Union Springs, N.Y., Mrs. Goodell was a daughter of the late Aleta Criscaden Swarthout and Paul Anthony Swarthout Sr. Educated in Union Springs schools, she was employed in customer service by Office Depot. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mrs. Goodell was of the Protestant faith. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Preceding her in death were husband Robert Ernest Goodell on April 13, 1990, and grandson Gary Goodell in 1981. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Surviving are sons Robert L. Goodell and wife Amy of Salisbury, Michael E. Goodell and wife Angela of High Point and David E. Goodell of New York; brothers James Swarthout of Florida, Johnny Swarthout of Maryland and Henry, Donald, Kevin, Ronald and Paul Jr. Swarthout, all of New York; sisters Mary Rindfleisch and Kiri Sanderson, both of New York; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;The body was cremated and services will be held at a later date in Port Byron, N.Y. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Lyerly Funeral Home is serving the Goodell family. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Memorials: Rowan Regional Home Health & amp; Hospice, 825-A W.
