DUMA-GUETE CITY, Philippines – Emilia Aro McGee, 95, formerly of 230 Virginia Ave., China Grove, N.C., died Dec. 1, 2006, in Duma-Guete City.

Born June 6, 1911, in Sorsogon Pro-vince, Philippines, Mrs. McGee was a daughter of the late Hermogenes Aro and Juana Pura Aro. She received her education in Sorsogon Province and her Bachelor of Arts in Francisco Law School, Manila, Philippine Islands.

While in China Grove, Mrs. McGee attended Corriher Heights Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by son James M. Allison and grandson Thomas R. Broome of China Grove.

Survivors are daughters Thelma McGee Broome and husband Thomas of China Grove, Rita Grace Eufracio of Manila; son Charles M. Holt and wife Dina of the Philippines; grandchildren Millicent, Vincent and Rachel Eufracio of Manila and Justine Marie Jordan of Florida; great-grandson Gary T. Broome and wife Frances of China Grove; and great-great-grandchildren Joey, Emilia and Miranda Broome of China Grove and Gabbie Eufracio of Manila.

Funeral services were held in the Philippines. A local memorial service will be held at a later date.
