Cordie Campbell

CHINA GROVE — Cordie Nance Campbell, 91, 611 E. Ketchie St., died Dec. 20, 2006, at Genesis Eldercare, Salisbury.
Born July 21, 1915, in Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Campbell was a daughter of the late William Richard and Essie Van Pelt Nance.
Educated in Rowan County schools, she was a member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ and retired from Cannon Mills.
Her husband, Harvey Eugene Campbell, died in 1994.
Survivors include stepson Woody Campbell, China Grove; stepdaughter Judy Overcash, Rockwell; sisters Grace Grant, Roanoke Rapids, Mae Bradshaw, China Grove, and Pauline Hopkins, Salisbury; three stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Friday (Dec. 22, 2006) at Castanea Presbyterian Church cemetery, Mount Holly, conducted by the Rev. William Campbell, pastor, Mount Zion United Church of Christ.
