Salisbury – Mr. James Hutchinson, Jr, 80 of Salisbury died Sunday Dec. 24, 2006 at his residence.

Mr. Hutchinson was born Feb. 11, 1926 in Rowan County, son of the late James Pinkston Hutchinson and Anna Marie Ross. He graduated from the Rowan County Schools. Mr. Hutchinson was employed as an auto mechanic and a security guard and was a member of the West Park Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by brothers Charles Franklin Hutchinson and Ray Virgil “R.V.” Hutchinson.

Mr. Hutchinson is survived by his wife Patsy Ann Patton Hutchinson whom he married Nov. 22, 1969; son, Greg Hutchinson of Kannapolis; daughters, Linda H. Earnhardt of Faith, Nancy Lawhorne of Va,. and Sherry Gibbs of Fayetteville; brothers, Gerald Hutchinson and Billy Hutchinson of Faith, Ronald “Dean” Hutchinson of Salisbury; sisters, Evelyn Morris and Joyce Hamilton of Salisbury; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at Rowan Memorial Park with the Rev. Doug Hefner, Hospice Chaplin presiding.
