SALISBURY – Sandy Benjamin White, age 44, of Salisbury, died while working near Asheville, NC.
Born Dec. 6, 1962 in Whiteville, he was the son of the late Claire Dexter White and mother Mary Miller White. He was a UPS driver for 20 years, starting in feeder trucks, moving to packages and then returning back to the feeder trucks.
He was a faithful member of the Salisbury Christian Fellowship where he served as an usher and member of the sound production team. A sister Tressie White and special brother-in-law Kenny Lynn preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Shelia Nance White; daughters Elizabeth White of Rockwell and Ashton White and a son Clay White of the home; sisters, Marion McWhorter, Onalaska, Tex., Nancy and husband Carroll Pearsall of Reiglewood, Clarie and husband Robert McQueen of Whiteville, Penny Lynn of Clarkton, Tammy and husband Charles Young of Whiteville; brothers Phil and wife Ruth White of Wilmington, Larry and wife Beth White of Wilmington, Beverley White of Whiteville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services: Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Salisbury Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. Dr. Don Vess officiating. Visitation: The family will see friends at the church from 2-3 p.m. Burial will follow services at Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery.
