Blondine D. McWhorter, 94, Juniper Avenue, died Sunday (Dec. 31, 2006) in Concord.

She was born June 15, 1912, in Madison County, Ga., to the late John D. and Addie Thomas Davis.

A member of North Kannapolis Methodist Church, she retired from Cannon Mills after 45 years of service. She last worked at Plant 1.

Her husband, Henry McWhorter, died in 1977.

Survivors include brother James H. Davis, Concord; and sister Bunny M. Fishers, Rockwell.

Services: 2 p.m. today, Whitley’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Susan German. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
