Carl A. Lee

Carl Alexander Lee, 86, 603 V-8 St., died Friday (Jan. 5, 2007) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.
Born in Timmonsville, S.C., Mr. Lee was a son of the late James B. and Eula Vista Carter Lee.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Cannon Mills. He then operated Lee’s Lawn Mower Shop for many years.
He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, where he served as chief usher for more than 53 years.
His wife, Ruth Karriker Lee, died 1990 and a granddaughter also died in 1967.
Survivors include daughter Jane Ann Hartsell, Kannapolis; sister Helen Pierce, Timmonsville, S.C.; brothers Ray O. Lee, Charleston, S.C., and Billy Truette, Wichita Falls, Texas; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A service was held Tuesday (Jan. 9, 2007) at Memorial Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Don Davis. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
Lady’s Funeral Home was in charge.
