George H. Freeze

CHINA GROVE — George Henry Freeze, 98, 785 Millbridge Road, died Monday (Jan. 8, 2007) at Hospice House of Cabarrus County.
Born Sept. 16, 1908, in Rowan County, Mr. Freeze was a son of the late Charlie Amos and Nellie Bostian Freeze.
He was in the U.S. Navy and was a loom fixer at Locke Mill. He was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include wife Nina Freeze, whom he married May 23, 1946; daughters Barbara Helms and Linda Hooks, both of China Grove, and Sharon Wilshire, Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Oak Grove United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Millie Orbison. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 1-1:45 p.m. Thursday at the church and at other times at the home of daughter Linda Hooks, 795 Millbridge Road.
