SALISBURY – Daryl Wesley Shores, 56, of Salisbury, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at The Laurels of Salisbury.

Born Aug. 20, 1950, in Rowan County, Mr. Shores was a son of Hazel Gillespie Shores of Salisbury and the late Samuel Lacy Shores. Educated in private schools, he was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, survivors include aunt Betty Gillespie of Granite Quarry; and cousins Suzy Carter and Rebecca Carter and family, all of Salisbury, and Sharon and Mike Brown and family of China Grove.

Service: 3 p.m. Monday at Lyerly Funeral Home’s James C. Lyerly Chapel with the Rev. Annalee Allen, pastor of Park Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

Visitation: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
