Harry E. Roseman

CHINA GROVE – Mr. Harry Edmond Roseman, 90, of 1410 Patterson St., China Grove, died Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus Co., Kannapolis. He had been seriously ill for five months.

Mr. Roseman was born April 5, 1916 in Rowan County, a son of the late Archie Monroe Roseman and Maggie Beaver Roseman. He was educated in the Rowan Co. schools, was a self-employed plumber, and retired from Cannon Mills in 1982 after more than 40 years of service as a fixer in the Cutting Dept.

Mr. Roseman was a lifelong member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ, China Grove, where he served as deacon, elder, member of the Men’s Brotherhood, Men’s Bible Class, and the Building s and Grounds Committee.

Surviving Mr. Roseman are his wife of 70 years, Alta Miller Roseman, daughters Lynette Fink and husband Mike, Janice Miller and husband John, son Harold Roseman and wife Hilda, and sister Ethel Poplin Hall – all of China Grove. Also surviving are half-sisters Jane Stanley of Reidsville and Ethel Ray Sloop of Concord, nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mr. Roseman in death were sisters Viola Sechler Beaver and Dorothy Roseman, and brothers Carl David Roseman and Hubert Roseman.

Visitation: Two hours prior to the service at the church.

Service: Mount Zion United Church of Christ, China Grove,Tuesday, January 16, at 3:00 pm.

Burial: Greenlawn Cemetery, China Grove.
