Mae N. Bradshaw

CHINA GROVE — Mae Nance Bradshaw, 99, Genesis Eldercare, Salisbury, formerly of 616 Patterson St., died Jan. 10, 2007, at the nursing center.
Born June 10, 1907, in Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Bradshaw was a daughter of the late William Richard and Essie Virginia Van Pelt Nance.
Educated in the Iredell County schools, she retired in 1973 from Cannon Mills.
She was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church, where she participated in the Women of the Church and Golden Deed Sunday School Class.
She was a charter member of Eureka Lodge 277 Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron four times.
Her husband, Rupert Wells Bradshaw, died Oct. 24, 1994.
Survivors include sons Carl Brown Bradshaw, China Grove, and William Mason Bradshaw, Hiddenite; daughter Ruby Bradshaw Mault, China Grove; sisters Pauline Hopkins, Salisbury, and Grace Grant, Roanoke Rapids; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
A service was held Saturday (Jan. 13, 2007) at New Hope Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. James Byers. Burial, church cemetery.
Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home was in charge.
