James Boyd Woodward, 71, Kannapolis, died Friday, (Jan. 19, 2007).

Born June 29, 1935, in Ruby, S.C., Mr. Woodard was a son of the late Lonnie Newton and Eddie Lee Lewis Woodward.

He loved fishing, camping and singing.

Survivors include daughter Pamela Leigh, Kannapolis, sons Jeff Woodward, Kannapolis, Joel Woodward, Weddington, and Randy Woodward, Mooresville; brother, Herman Woodward, Kannapolis; sisters Frances Duvall and Mavis Graham, both of Kannapolis, and Minnie Lee Woodward, Pageland, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A service was held Sunday (Jan. 21, 2007) at Lady’s Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Tommy Wensil. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
