Rachel Frye Lambert, 92, 221 S. East Ave., died Saturday (Jan. 20, 2007) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.

Born Nov. 4, 1914, in Stanly County, Mrs. Lambert was a daughter of the late William R. and Phronia Honeycutt Frye.

She retired after 45 years in the Wash Cloth Department of Cannon Mills Plant 1 and was a member of Jackson Park United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Clarence Lambert, and daughter Barbara Lambert Courtney preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughter Kay Lambert Sprinkle, Concord; son Michael Wayne Lambert, Kannapolis; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services: 3 p.m. today (Jan. 24, 2007), Whitley’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Chuck Halipilias. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.

Visitation: 1-3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
