SALISBURY – Morrison Webster Norris, 86, died Friday Jan. 19, 2007 at Liberty Commons Nursing Center.

He was born Nov. 11, 1920 in Iredell County to the late Etta Lorena Raymer Norris and Roman Webster Norris. He attended the Kannapolis Schools and was a veteran of the US Navy, having service during WWII. He worked for Celotex Corporation in California and retired from Fieldcrest Cannon.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Marie Stafford Norris on Dec. 4, 1989 and son, John Norris.

He is survived by sons, Doyle Norris of Cleveland and James Norris of Va.; daughters, Patricia Konetzney of Des Plains, Ill. and Carol Warren of San Gabriel, Calif.; sister, Oleta Benfield of Kannapolis; 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation: 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lyerly Funeral Home.
