CHARLOTTE – Margaret V. (Cook) McCaskill, age 76 of Charlotte, passed away Monday, January 22, 2007.

Born in Iredell County on November 13, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Vertie Anderson Cook.

She is survived by 3 sons; George “Bob” Holbrook of Kannapolis, David G. Holbrook and wife Debra of Coral Springs, FL, and Stephen L. Holbrook of Raleigh; four sisters, Cleo Stillman of Statesville, Rachel Bernard of Houstonville, Colleen Parker of Yadkinville, and Martha L. Osterhout of Charlotte; two brothers, Robert L. Cook, Jr. of Harmony, and Charles F. Cook of Advance; grandchildren James, Randy, George, Kevin, Emily and Karen; She is also survived by Ruth Sidbury, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McCaskill was predeceased by her husband George C. Holbrook, husband Norman W. McCaskill and her son Larry J. Holbrook.

Services: funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 24th, 11 AM, in McEwen-Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte.

Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Entombment: will follow in Forest Lawn West Mausoleum. McEwen-Derita Chapel is serving the family of Mrs. McCaskill.
