SALISBURY – Walter Lee Jones Jr., affectionately called “Junior,” age 38, of 215 Hoot Circle, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Jones was born March 23, 1968, in Salisbury to Betty Boyd Jones and Walter Lee Jones Sr. of Salisbury. He was a graduate of North Rowan High School and was last employed with Freightliner as an assembler.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Tonie Geter Jones of the home; stepson Darius Geter, Salisbury; daughter Parrish Chanel Jones, Salisbury; brothers Morris Keith Jones (Rhonda) and Rodney Markeith Jones, both of Salisbury; and aunt Mary Louise Boyd, Salisbury.

Service: The funeral services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Moore’s Chapel AME Zion Church with the Rev. Bobby L. Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation: Visitation will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the church. The family will also be receiving friends at the home at 215 Hoot Circle, Salisbury.
