Betty I. Mills

CONCORD — Betty Isenhour Mills, 79, Westbury Plaza, died Jan. 31, 2007, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus after a year of declining health.

Born Oct. 11, 1927, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Mills was a daughter of the late Clyde R. and Della Hopkins Isenhour.

A 1944 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, she was a tax prepared for Ed Y. Sweet Income Tax Service. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Her husband, Billy Joe Mills, died in 1993, and daughters Carolyn M. Torbush and Barbara Jo Mills also preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughter Ann M. Hixon, Matthews; brother John Wayne Isenhour, Concord; sisters Martha L. Suther, Concord, and Linda I. Eudy, Mount Pleasant; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Sunday (Feb. 4, 2007) at Covenant Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Scott Simpson.
