CONCORD — Martha Ann Webster Helms, 48, 19 Burrage Road NE, died Sunday (Jan. 28, 2007) at NorthEast Medical Center.

Born April 23, 1958, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Helms was a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Johnnie Griggs Webster.

She had worked at Terry Products and Piece Goods Store before retiring because of disability.

Survivors include husband Eric Helms; children Doug Pope, Kannapolis, Amber Pope, Concord, Brandon Pope, Woodbridge, Va., and Shannon Pope, Salisbury; sister Jann Dalton, Concord; and foster niece Lori Welsh.

A service was held Tuesday (Jan. 30, 2007) at Whitley’s Funeral Home, Kannapolis, conducted by the Rev. Randall Ritchie. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
