Auria J. Basinger
Auria Angelina Johnson Basinger, 81, 1114 Mountain St., died Thursday (June 7, 2007) at Transitional Health Services.
Born Dec. 28, 1925, in Kannapolis, Mrs. Basinger was a daughter of the late Leon and Alice Grace Ross Johnson.
She retired after 42 years with Fieldcrest Cannon and later worked with children at the YMCA day care.
She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.
Her husband, Dan Frances Basinger, died in 1972.
Survivors include son Bruce Basinger, Kannapolis; stepson Elvis Gene Basinger, Cherryville; and a grandson.
A service was held Friday (June 8, 2007) at Whitley’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Robert Howard. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
