Margaret CarterKANNAPOLIS ó Margaret Overcash Carter, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at her home.
Born May 4, 1921, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Fannie Overcash. She retired from textiles and was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Bill Carter; daughters, Barbara Orbison of Kannapolis and Linda Honeycutt of Concord; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A service was held Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Friendship Freewill Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Marler Starnes. Burial was at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove.
Lady’s Funeral Home was in charge.
