Dr. Dietrich Felber
CONCORD ó Dr. Dietrich Werner Felber, 85, formerly of Catawba Island, Ohio, died Jan. 14, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast.
Dr. Felber was born Jan. 14, 1923, in Aachen, Germany, the son of the late Arthur Felber and Gabriel Tegetmeier Felber. A retired orthopedic surgeon, he was a member of the Ohio State Medical Association and the Ottawa County Medical Society. He was a past member of the Catawba Island Club and the FoxFire Country Club in Naples, Fla., where he was an avid golfer.
Dr. Felber practiced medicine for more than 30 years in Ohio. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Concord.
He was preceded in death by his son, Warren Thomas Felber. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Felber of Concord; daughters Dr. Sharon Felber Taylor of San Diego, Calif., Jill Felber Bambach of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Dr. Kim Felber Foust of Concord; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service at was held Jan. 16 at First Presbyterian Church, Chapel of the Fellowship House, the Rev. Kenneth Craig officiating.
