Burleson – Wind

Ashley Lauren Burleson and Tyler Conway Wind were united in marriage August 22, 2009, at Saint Johnís Lutheran Church of Salisbury.
The Rev. Robert Wind and the Rev. Rhodes Woolly officiated the five-oíclock ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Historic Salisbury Station.
The bride was escorted by her father, Mr. Lanny Lamar Burleson. Attending as maid of honor was high school friend of the bride Miss Danielle Nicole Andrews of Salisbury. Attending as matron of honor was college friend of the bride Mrs. Marissa Harpe Gunn of Charlotte. Bridesmaids were Miss Lisa Marie Rotman of Charlotte, Miss Melanie Catherine Maher of Kanna?polis, Miss Julia Blythe Barnette of Huntersville, Mrs. Haley Shaw Wishon of Charlotte, sister of the groom Miss Megan Taylor Wind of Tappahannock, Va., and cousin of the groom Miss Eliana Samantha Elliott of Tappa?hannock, Va. Honorary attendants were Mrs. Charlotte Smith Staton of Charlotte, Miss Sarah Elizabeth Chilton of Charles?ton, S.C., and Miss Carrie Lynn Brackbill of Hunters?ville.
Father of the groom Mr. Michael Allen Wind served as the best man. Groomsmen were brothers of the groom Dr. Michael Allen Wind, Jr., Mr. Ryan Elliott Wind, Mr. Trevor Daniel Wind, Mr. Jordan Kendall Wind and Mr. Nicholas Christian Wind; and friends of the groom Mr. Christopher Lee Putnam and Dr. Michael Andrew Hartman.
Music was provided by organist Mr. Rob Durocher, violinist Mr. Dan Skidmore, cellist Dr. Benjamin Levy, trumpeter Mr. Greg Hall, and vocalists Miss Megan Riddle, Mr. Jason Harwood and Mr. Dean Orbinson. Mrs. Toni Kenerly served as wedding director, and Mr. and Mrs. James Graham were greeters and coordinators for the reception. Serving as crucifer was cousin of the groom Mr. Andrew Elliott.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Lamar Burleson of Salisbury and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burleson of Albemarle and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kelin Martin Everhart of Lexington. A 2002 graduate of East Rowan High School, Ashley graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006 and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2008. She is currently employed as a Nurse Practitioner with Lowcountry Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Charleston, S.C.
Tyler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wind of Tappahannock, Va. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Elliott of Tappahannock, Va., and Reverend and Mrs. Robert Wind of Richmond, Va. A 1997 graduate of Essex High School, Tyler graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in 2001 and received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 2005. Dr. Wind is currently completing an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Following the wedding, the couple with make a trip to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. They will make their home in Folly Beach, S.C.
