Art collective gets approval to serve beer, wine at events
The Looking Glass Artist Collective at 405 N. Lee St. has received a special-use permit from the city of Salisbury that will allow the organization to serve wine and beer at some of its events.
The collective’s facility includes a theater.
“We host plays and visiting musicians,” Sarah Hall, president of the collective, said in her application.
“Our guests have let us know that beer and wine would be appreciated and enhance their experience when attending events.”
Hall added in her application that the organization would monitor the serving of alcohol “and allow it to be served only by those who have had the ABC training course.”
“We will hire security for events where alcohol is consumed,” she added.
Salisbury City Council approved the permit Tuesday.
