Staff report
The Rowan-Kannapolis ABC Board is offering a real deal on a used copier.
It’s free to the right group or agency.
The copier originally cost about $20,000 and was purchased with federal drug seizure funds. Under regulations that govern usage of the funds, items purchased can’t be traded in. They can be donated to a qualifying non-profit agency or organization.
The device is actually more than a copier. It also has scanning and fax capability.
Julie Eller, controller, said the only string attached will be a $200 per quarter maintenance agreement with a Charlotte company, Modern Impressions.
Eller said the copier, although eight years old, is in good condition but won’t stand the amount of use needed in the ABC office.
On Monday, the board approved purchase of a new copier for $10,062 from Modern Impressions.
Any agency interested in the old copier should contact the ABC office at 704-633-1641.
