A laptop computer is missing from an unlocked storage closet at the Salisbury-Rowan Community Service Council office at 1300 W. Bank St., according to the Salisbury Police Department.
The computer was last seen in the closet in November.
In other Police Department reports:
– A catalytic converter was stolen off an Air Master Technologies work van parked in a locked and gated parking lot at 1912 S. Main St. the night of Jan. 15. Two more were reported stolen Jan. 21 from trucks.
– Norma Jean Mesimer reported vandals cut a tire on her vehicle while it was parked at 900 Mooresville Road the night of Jan. 5.
– Joseph Mayer of Richard’s Cars, 419 S. Main St., reported someone had broken into one of the vehicles on the property the night of Jan. 15 and stolen a stereo.
– A juvenile was charged Jan. 16 with misdemeanor larceny of toys from Marshall’s, 375 Faith Road.
– A burglar broke into 31 Kesler St. Jan. 17 and pointed a revolver at a mother and daughter before leaving through the front door.
– A juvenile was charged Jan. 17 with assaulting Robert David Jones, who works at One Love Developmental, 703 Bringle Ferry Road, at the home.
– Larry Wayne Rowland reported he was a victim of a forged check between Aug. 26 and Sept. 1, 2007, at 2010 Statesville Blvd.
– A suspected embezzlement by a former employee is being investigated at Trans Title of N.C. Inc., 417 N. Main St.
– New gang graffiti was found Jan. 14 at Union Hall of Needletraders, 803 S. Railroad St.
– Amanda Jo Roys, 429 E. Liberty St., reported a Jan. 17 burglary at her home.
– Carolyn L. Rudisill reported her stolen debit card had been used three times on Jan. 13.
– Prescriptions were forged Jan. 7 and 17 at Walgreen’s, 705 W. Jake Alexander Blvd. and Jan. 7 at Rite Aid, 640 W. Jake Alexander Blvd.
– Kadett Kirkman Wilson, 32, 402 E. Council St., was charged Jan. 17 with six counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense at F&M Bank, 221 N. Main St. She was held under total secured bond of $40,000 pending a first appearance in court.
– Leobardo Cruz, 23, 705 E. Council St., was charged Jan. 17 with assault inflicting serious injury based on a complaint by Ashley Thomas, 325 Woodson St., No. 54. He was held under $100 secured bond pending a Feb. 28 trial date.
– William Harding Gwyn, 32, 808 S. Boundary St., was charged Jan. 16 with felony first-degree statutory rape in China Grove. He was held under $10,000 secured bond pending the next session of Rowan Superior Court.
– A 27-year-old male was treated at Rowan Regional Medical Center Jan. 19 for a gunshot wound to his left arm that occurred in the 1300 block of West Bank Street.
– A 34-year-old female reported a ring was removed from her hand during a Jan. 18 strong-arm robbery at 525 E. Cemetery St.
– David Harold Darby, 43, 165 Cross Creek Drive, Gold Hill, was charged Jan. 19 with felony possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia at 520 E. Cemetery St. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Essie Deese Hogue reported her wallet was “picked” from her purse Jan. 19 at Knox Middle School, 1625 W. Park Road.
– Artanis Vincent Carmichael, 25, 821 E. Lafayette St., was charged Jan. 19 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer, two counts of simple assault and with being a fugitive from justice in Virginia. He was held pending a Feb. 12 trial date.
– Joyceline Suzanne Villasana reported the tailgate stolen off a truck parked at 175 Neta Drive between Jan. 13 and 19.
– Someone broke into 508 W. Cemetery St. Jan. 20 and fired shots.
– John Onyemalechi Osakwe reported items stolen from his 600 N. Ellis St. apartment during a burglary the night of Jan. 19.
– Lauren Adele Malnar reported vandals slashed a tire on her vehicle while it was parked at 120 N. Craige St. Jan. 20.
– A “customer” grabbed $120 in $20 bills from a cash register while the cashier was making change Jan. 20 at Pop Shop, 939 S. Jake Alexander Blvd.
– Dustin Geter Baker, 21, 1072 Burkesway Drive, and Jason Scott Ritchie, 28, 410 Cannon St., Rockwell, were both charged Jan. 21 with possession of a controlled substance while inside the Rowan County Detention Center. They were held under $10,000 secured bond each pending first appearances in court.
– A burglar broke into Burger King, 700 W. Jake Alexander Blvd., Jan. 21 and stole a flat-screen television off the front wall.
– Martha Isabel Berrios reported her pocketbook was stolen from her vehicle Jan. 21 while she was parked at the YMCA, 828 W. Jake Alexander Blvd.
– Alex Cordero reported a burglary broke into Cordero’s Tire Center, 2908 S. Main St., between Jan. 19 and 21.
– Someone broke into a Frito Lay vehicle while it was parked at 2104 Statesville Blvd. Jan. 21 and stole food items.
– James Lawrence Townsend Jr. reported items stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at 2 Gold Hill Circle Jan. 21.
– Sherry Coler Page reported her check card had been used fraudulently Jan. 21 at Wal-Mark and Cracker Barrel after she left it in a teller machine.
– Donald Ray Hooker, 723 N. Lee St., reported a burglar broke into his home Jan. 20 and tried to break into a case where he keeps a handgun.
– Kristina Connot Riley, 37, 4115 Jack Brown Road, was charged Jan. 21 with obtaining prescriptions by forgery at Walgreen’s, 705 W. Jake Alexander Blvd. She was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– A rape reported Jan. 21 on North Cedar Street is under investigation.
– Brian Keith and Shelly Turner, 203 Pearl St., reported money and a credit card stolen from their vehicle while it was parked at their home Jan. 21.
– Kenneth Wayne Miller, 33, 230 W. Henderson St., was charged Jan. 19 with second-degree trespassing at 714 Partee St. Trial date is Feb. 25.
– Jose Daniel Torres, 38, 402 Lakewood Drive, was charged Jan. 19 with misdemeanor child abuse, driving while impaired and no operator’s license. He was held under $2,000 secured bond pending a Feb. 22 trial date.
– James Benjamin Walters, 64, 153 Doby Drive, Gold Hill, was charged Jan. 20 with second-degree trespassing at Wal-Mart, 323 S. Arlington St. Trial date is March 4.
– Dustin Geter Baker, 21, 1072 Burkesway Drive, was charged Jan. 20 with felony obtaining prescriptions by forgery and felony trafficking in heroin. He was held under $100,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Christopher James Clemons, 22, 390 Imperial Drive, was charged Jan. 20 with felony obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/forgery. He was held under $5,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Vanessa Marie Clemons, 29, 410 Cannon St., Rockwell, was charged Jan. 20 with felony trafficking in heroin. She was held under $100,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Rhonda Poole Emerson, 42, 1045 Barringer Road, was charged Jan. 18 with felony obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/forgery. She was held pending a first appearance in court.
– Jason Scott Ritchie, 28, 410 Cannon St., Rockwell, was charged Jan. 20 with two counts of felony obtaining prescriptions by forgery and one count of felony trafficking in heroin. He was held under $100,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Dwayne Blair Jones, 30, 412 E. Council St., was charged Jan. 18 with 28 counts of common law robbery and one count each of breaking and entering a building and kidnapping, all felonies. He was held under $400,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Mikeal Anthony Swann, 52, 605 E. Horah St., No. 2, was charged Jan. 18 with misdemeanor larceny and simple worthless check at Family Dollar, 410 E. Innes St. He was held under $1,250 secured bond pending a Feb. 12 trial date.
– Timothy Hazen Cameron, 38, 130 Charolais Drive, was charged Jan. 18 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Angela Christine Cameron, 408 N. Main St., Granite Quarry. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Feb. 25.
– William Robert Bergeron, 27, 404 Union Heights Blvd., was charged Jan. 18 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer and disorderly conduct. He was held under $500 secured bond pending a Feb. 11 trial date.
– Khamilia Lynette Ford, 27, 410 W. 15th St., Apartment 25, was charged Jan. 20 with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle based on a complaint by Temeka Kennedy, 628 E. Lafayette St. Trial date is Feb. 14.
