China Grove aldermen to meet Thursday
CHINA GROVE ó The China Grove Board of Aldermen will hold a special meeting Thursday to adopt the state fire code and authorize the county to enforce it in the town.
Earlier this month, the board unanimously rejected the measure.
Alderman Allen Welter contended that adopting the fire code would add thousands of dollars in costs for downtown building owners.
The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Municipal Building at 205 Swink St.
