CONCORD ó Cabarrus sheriff’s investigators have accused a 51-year-old Concord man of trying to make arrangements to have sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Detectives arrested Danny Wrenn Cochran, of 4800 Robert Road, at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday after he arrived at Terrymore Apartments in Concord “with the intent to have sexual relations with a 14-year-old female,” a press release said.
At the time of Cochran’s arrest, detectives found “various items used for sex” in his possession, according to the press release.
The press release from the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office does not indicate how investigators began investigating Cochran, but the investigation started about two weeks before Tuesday’s arrest.
Cochran remains in the Cabarrus County Jail this morning under $25,000 bond. He is charged with solicitation to commit a felony act of statutory sexual offense against a 13-, 14- or 15-year-old and solicitation to commit a felony act of indecent liberties with a minor.
He is scheduled to make an initial court appearance at 9 a.m. Thursday.
