n 1923 ó Mill 1 begins production;
n 1986 ó Dixie Yarns buys company;
n 1988 ó Kondo Cotton Spinning Co. of Japan buys company ó renamed China Grove Textiles, has 400-500 employees;
n 2000 ó National Textiles, a former subsidiary of Sara Lee Corp. based in Winston-Salem buys company. Sara Lee Corp. spins off Hanesbrands in 2006.
n December 2008 ó China Grove plant will close.
