Army Pfc. Jeremy F. Taylor has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky.

Taylor, the son of Lori Allred, Salisbury, is a 2006 graduate of Henderson Independent High School.

Pfc. Mitchell Wayne Barringer has completed basic training for the U.S. Marine Corps at Parris Island, S.C.

Barringer will continue his military combat training at Camp Geiger and receive electronics maintenance schooling in Pensacola, Fla.

A 2006 graduate of East Rowan High School, Barringer is the son of David and Tina Barringer of Gold Hill, and Rocky and Susan LaGasse of Faith.
