KANNAPOLIS ó Due to scheduling conflicts, a meeting between the people planning the MURDOCK Study and the man for which it’s named has been delayed.
Details of the far-reaching medical study, such as the timeline and first four protocols, will not be released publicly until Duke University gets an official nod from benefactor and N.C. Research Campus founder David H. Murdock.
The meeting, originally set for this month, should occur in February “when all these people who travel the world can convene” in Kannapolis, said Victoria Christian.
Christian, chief operating officer for Duke Translational Research Institute and the MURDOCK Study, plans to bring a busload of researchers from Duke to present their plan to Murdock and his science adviser, Dr. Andrew Conrad.
Murdock gave Duke $35 million to launch the study, which stands for Measurement to Understand Reclassification of Disease Cabarrus/Kannapolis.
