Rowan-Cabarrus Community College leaders want their entire Salisbury campus to become part of the city.
The RCCC board of trustees voted Monday to ask Salisbury leaders to annex the entire North campus of the school.
Most of the campus is already in city limits, said Ray Paradowski, chairman of the RCCC board.
Salisbury supplies water and sewer services for the school, as well as fire and police protection.
As the college acquired more property over their years, some of the buildings fell outside city limits.
Asking for a voluntary annexation is logical for the school, said Dr. Carol Spalding, president of RCCC.
