Food will be distributed Tuesday for Rowan County residents only at the Salisbury Civic Center, 315 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.,from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.or until the food is gone.
Food Stamp recipients should bring the letters that were mailed to them.
Others may be eligible to receive free food, but must disclose their gross monthly household income.
Following are examples of income guidelines: Family of one person ó $1,127; two ó $ 1,517; four ó $2,297; six ó $ 3,077.
Available food items include frozen whole chicken, ground beef, orange juice, cereal, pork patties, applesauce, green beans, turkey ham, peanut butter, diced tomatoes, grape juice, potatoes and peas.
