The Santa Run/Walk 5K is slated for this Saturday, beginning at the Millbridge Ruritan Building on Sloan Road, across from Sloan Park.
All proceeds go to Rowan Helping Ministries West.
The early entry fee for the 5K is $17; race day entry is $22 but can be reduced to $17 by bringing a minimum of five canned goods. All participants will receive a dri-fit, long sleeve shirt as long as they last.
The fun run is free to those who bring five canned goods, and all entrants will receive a cotton T-shirt as long as they last.
Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. The 5K starts at 9 a.m., and the half-mile fun run at 9:45 a.m.
Locke Fire Dept. is handling traffic control, and other sponsors are Gay’s Chapel Men, Gander Hill Farm, Christ Episcopal Church, Millbridge Ruritans and the Salisbury Rowan Runners.
