All-county bandclinic Friday andSaturday
Thirty North Rowan High and North Middle school band students have been selected to participate in the Rowan-Salisbury All-County Honors Band.
Those chosen from the North High Band include Brittany Henderson, Aaron Cheshire, Meredith Shuping, Jon Standard, Rafe Harrison, Josh Price, Alex Gilland, CJ Mowery, Rebekah Holland, Alex Billingsley, Valerie Miller, Evan OíNeal, Brandon Snider, Michael Downum, Brittany Cheshire, Neegbah Reeves, Austin Snider and Meredith Sokolowski.
North Middle Band students chosen include Marissa Wood, Shenelle Hudson, Megan Braun, Courtney Wright, Chenoa Taffa, Dhestini Cummingham, Caroline Billingsley, Teaya Teasley, Samantha Soublet, Bryn Gilland, Jacob Mowbray and Josh Phillips.
The All County Band clinic will be held Friday and Saturday at Carson High School.
Dawn Perry and Michael Howell will be guest conductors for the honor bands.
The concert will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Carson auditorium and is free to the public.
The North Rowan Bands are under the direction of Andrew Howe and Keith Howe.
Nursing degree
Kimberlee Davis of Salisbury has received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Western Governors University (www.wgu.edu).
The university held its semi-annual commencement ceremony in Salt Lake City on Feb. 12.
