SALISBURY ó A man told police that someone fired shots into his home early Wednesday ó and that he shot back.
Raylin LaShawn Woodruff, 19, of 1333 Standish St., told Salisbury Police officers the incident happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday. He reported that someone fired about 15 shots into his house from a vehicle driving past.
Woodruff was not injured. He told officers that he fired back but did not believe that he hit anyone or the vehicle.
No one had reported being shot from the incident to investigators Wednesday and no vehicles were reported damaged by gunfire.
Police wouldnít say Wednesday if they knew of a motive for the drive-by shooting.
According to police records and Post files, this is not the first time Woodruff has been involved in a shooting incident.
In November 2009, he accidentally shot Darryl Sylvester Price as they were chasing and firing shots at a man who had shot them both at a house on South Jackson Street. The man they were chasing, Dennis Alexander, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and spent several weeks in the hospital. Woodruff and Price were treated and released from the hospital.
In May 2009, Woodruff was walking with his 16-year-old cousin Tyrone Angle Jr. when Angle was shot to death during an exchange of gunfire in the 900 block of West Horah Street.
