SALISBURY ó The Rowan Country Democratic Women will meet Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Rowan Public Library on Fisher Street.
The meeting will include presentations by community leaders detailing how current legislation on the state level will affect Rowan County citizens.
The new chair of the Rowan County Democratic Party, Veleria Levy, will be introduced and will share ways local Democrats can become proactive in party politics in preparation for critical local, state and national elections in 2012.
Light refreshments and coffee will be provided.
