SALISBURY, N.C. — A man has been arrested after reportedly throwing drugs on the ground in front of a Salisbury Police officer.
Officer D.R. Lancaster was patroling on North Shaver Street on Saturday when he saw three people standing on the side of the street. As Lancaster passed by, he noticed one man throw something on the ground.
Lancaster spoke with the three people and determined that what the man had thrown on the ground was crack cocaine.
Another one of the men was found to be in possession of a crack pipe.
Lancaster arrested 57-year-old Robert Cox with a listed address of “the streets of Salisbury.”
Cox was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $1,000 bond.
