Emily Graves Cook Graduation
Emily Graves Cook received a master’s degree in school leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Mass., on May 26, 2011.
Cook is a 2000 graduate of Salisbury High School and 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A Teach for America alumna, she taught at KIPP Delta College Preparatory School and KIPP Delta Elementary Literacy Academy in Helena, Ark., for six years.
She is beginning a Fisher Fellowship with the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) to plan and open an elementary school in Gaston in the fall of 2012.
She is the daughter of E.D. and Elizabeth Cook of Salisbury.
