Deputies follow tip, charge Mooresville man

SALISBURY — A Tuesday traffic stop landed a Mooresville man in jail under drug charges.
The Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office stopped a blue Mustang in the 500 block of Sherrill’s Ford Road.
Two deputies, acting on information received from the public, stopped Quincy Lance Brown, 32, of 1065 Mount Ulla Highway, where during a search they found less than a gram of heroin and an assortment of nine prescription pills, both of which were seized.
Brown was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule I substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II substance and maintaining a dwelling place/vehicle for a controlled substance.
Brown was placed in the Rowan County jail under a $10,000 bond. His first appearance is slated for Friday.
