Tugman 50th Anniversary

William Ervin Tugman and Gloria Byers Tugman  of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of vows and banquet Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at First Calvary Baptist Church in Salisbury. The Rev. Leamon E. Brown, pastor, officiated. The celebration was a gift to the couple by their daughter and Gloria’s sisters and brother.
William and Gloria were married Aug. 16, 1961, in East Spencer by the late Rev. John D. Gaston.  
William, a graduate of J.C. Price High School in Salisbury, retired from  H.K. Porter Company.  Gloria, a graduate of Dunbar High School in East Spencer, is a retired beautician. They have made their home in Salisbury throughout their five decades together.
The Tugmans have a daughter, Wanda T. Grimsley  (Hosia) of Orlando, Fla., a son, Demetrius of Salisbury, and three grandchildren.
