n The city of Salisbury and Rowan County will honor the fallen and those who still serve with a memorial service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Salisbury-Rowan Firefighters Memorial, adjacent to Chestnut Hill Cemetery, 1400 S. Main St.
n Testament of Freedom remembrance service, 5 p.m., Omwake Dearborn Chapel, 2300 W. Innes St., featuring singers from four downtown churches, bagpipes, bells and more.
n Candlelight vigil, sponsored by Rowan County Youth Services Bureau, 8:30 p.m., steps of Rowan County Courthouse, 210 N. Main St. Bring candle.
n Patriotís Day remembrance ceremony for Kannapolis, Harrisburg and Cabarrus County, 2 p.m. at Concord Fire Station 8, 1485 Old Charlotte Road, Concord.
