Ritchie 60th Anniversary

William A. “Bill” Ritchie and Ruby Carpenter Ritchie of Salisbury celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 8, 2011, at a family dinner at The Speedway Club at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord.
The Ritchies were married Oct. 5, 1951, in Chesterfield, S.C., by the Justice of the Peace.
Both retired, Bill was owner of Ritchie’s Steamway Carpet Cleaning for 40 years, and Ruby was employed by Belk of Salisbury for 14 years.
The couple’s children are Patty Ritchie of Salisbury, Kay Peeler of Statesville and the late Ray Ritchie.
They have three grandchildren, Josh Peeler and wife Brooke, Matt Peeler of East Carolina University and the late Nathan Peeler.
Their two great-grandchildren are Pressley and Kaleb Peeler.
