ATLANTA, Ga. — A North Rowan High School graduate died Tuesday in a car crash near Atlanta.
Wadale Kashifi Wilson, 28, was on his way home from work when the wreck occurred, his mother, Sharon Wood said Wednesday.
Wood, a Kannapolis resident, said her son moved south to take a job with a trucking company near Atlanta about two years ago.
“He was leaving work to go home and fix dinner for him and his girlfriend,” Wood said.
According to Wood, Wilson was killed when his Ford Crown Victoria was struck by a tractor-trailer.
Wilson has family in Salisbury. He graduated from North Rowan High in 2002.
Wood said Georgia police are continuing to investigate the wreck. Few details have been released to family members.
Wood said her son’s body will be brought back to North Carolina for the funeral.
