Spry Anniversary

William Eugene Spry and Virginia Barber Spry of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at a reception in Salisbury hosted by their children.
The Sprys were united in marriage Dec. 23, 1961, at the parsonage of Trading Ford Baptist Church by the late Rev. R.N. Huneycutt.
William, son of the late Nathan Lee and Betty Spry, retired from NC Finishing Company after 39 years of employment. Virginia, daughter of the late Charlie E. and Minnie Barber, was employed by Food Lion and retired from the Chicken & Oyster Shack.
Their children are William Lee Spry and Sandy of Salisbury, Michael Spry and Sharon of Rockwell, Wendy Spry of Spencer and Chris Spry of Huntersville.
