Darius Hyman Graduates
Naval Reserve Petty Office 1st Class Select Darius McNair Hyman of Salisbury completed an undergraduate course of study in Occupational Safety and Health at NCA&T State University in spring 2011. He was presented his degree by Chancellor Harold Martin in the winter 2011 graduation exercises.
Hyman has also completed eight years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, and was honorably discharged as a corporal. He is now enlisted in the Naval Reserve.
A 2000 graduate of Salisbury High School, Hyman is the son of Minister Vicky Hyman and Willie E. Hyman of Salisbury. He is married to U.S. Air Force Lt. Jasmyn M. Hyman, who is stationed in Niceville, Fla. They are making their home in Niceville with their children, Jared, 8, Sadey, 7, Aleah, 5, and Saira, 1-1/2.
Hyman is a licensed bail bondsman and is continuing graduate studies in business.
