WINSTON-SALEM (AP) — Winston-Salem State University is looking to build on its most successful football season ever by holding a clinic designed to help expand its fan base.
The Deborah Reaves Football Series runs for three days beginning today at the Thompson Center on campus. The clinic is named for the wife of Winston-Salem State chancellor Donald Reaves. The clinic is modeled somewhat after the Jim Grobe Women’s Football Clinic at Wake Forest University.
Some of the things that will be covered include terminology and the general rules of the game.
Coach Connell Maynor and some of his staff will join the clinic and answer questions.
The Rams finished 13-1 last season, won the CIAA championship and reached the NCAA Division II semifinals.
The clinic is free and open to the public.
